It's clear that the machine UI is supposed to be all symbols, no words (perhaps to accommodate language differences in Bay Area?) and that was an utter failure. So the stickers add the needed words, but only in English. Which is probably fine, since the instructions are simple

I would pay good money to read a detailed 20 page post-mortem of that entire process. That’s jaw-dropping.
Worst of all is that the only thing we really wanted from the new ticket machines is that they read/use FasTrak cards, like the other airports parking lots in the Bay Area. And they don't.
