and it is done. the mansion rework is finished. all 109 parts are done build. chest placed, features working and golly is it an hard but rewarding dungeon.

found an way to use a processor list to replicate this specific event of strongholds generating entrances on the surface like that. so we can make it possible for our stronghold rework
seeing a lot of dumping on 1.20 for being an sandbox focused update on an mostly sandbox game. kind of surprised because during the snapshot phase this has been received as one of the best updates in recent times (even more than 1.18 (???)).
Dungeon and Taverns v2.1 will come out on 7th june, the day minecraft 1.20 comes out for java.
the main additions are archelogy to 3 structures, some updates to ancient cities, ruined towns and desert taverns, and adding jungle and swamp villages as well as the hamlet.
for Dungeons and Taverns v2.1 i updated the ruined towns again a bit. beside archelogy they now also have 6 new houses in 4 destruction stages and a new road system
there is no way to fix waterlogging of the structure. it's something every structure data pack has to deal with until Mojang enables an toggle for automatic waterlogging to be either on or off.

This Structure should be known to you if you know dungeon and taverns, it's a ruined town but what is that? this one has an obelisk in it's center?
this is the stronghold ruined town, they only spawn right above an stronghold. always.
There is now an preview version of Dungeon and Taverns v2.1 on my patreon. the full version releases somewhere after 1.20 full release. note that it only works on the latest snapshot.
it adds 2 new village types. updates 3 structures by adding archelogy and the ancient cities
the temple is suposed to have this fake desert temple on the surface while this entire desert temple is underground burried in sand. then the desert ruins generate around it, same deal as the jungle ruins. but this would mean a huge empty area around the middle.
the 2nd time i got tested was put as negative because of "too high iq" and "way over average empathy". then telling me that i would be the oposite of an autist because my empathy levels are on the oposite side of the spectrum since to their belive autistic people have no empathy
due to the (experimental) villager changes and because I am a certified mending hater, did i turn all villager in swamp villages into witches, cats and slimes. all houses also have some more nature to them~

while on a somewhat hiatus/break couldnt i resist to add a lil thing to ruined towns. plots. basically a street part with an house that is surounded by randomised wall parts
here are the new improved stronghold town (it's just the ruined town structure but with a different town center that aligns perfectly with the stronghold) with the stronghold rework breaking into the surface
more screenshots of the stronghold surface rooms being obliterated in air at the surface and caves. and bridges to the main portal platform being finally added.
aaaand we got surface stronghold stuff. it falls apart when it hits the surface. the blocks are currently only stone bricks so it will need stome refinement but it works
today i learned that drowned can't chase the player when in only 1 block high water. means they move just fine if they didn't detect you but as soon as they want to chase you, they can't move
this isn't true for baby drowned... have some slimes in the sewer
Illager camps, wild ruins and lost bunker are going to be in the next Dungeons and Taverns Update. they are more just environmental buildings instead of dungeons

With All those new structures finished.
6 for the nether. 3 for the overworld and 4 overhauls for old Dungeons and Taverns structures, the Update is Ready content wise. It is due to October and will be the foreseeable last content update for this Datapack.
One thing i noticed in dungeons is that those stone creeper heads are usualy also an enterance for creeping crypts in minecraft dungeons, so they are an alternative to the usual house to be an enterance. they also got some other tweaks now
Other news not related to dungeon and taverns but my other project: pixel perfection legacy. i updated some textures for items, changes the colours of crimson wood again and sliced up the textures of the menu to function in the 1.20.2 snapshots
are those just the people who don't follow the game as closely and just arrived now during release and then disappear until the next update to clown on mojang again for it not being the game they want it to be?
how do you guys feel about a rework of mansions for dungeons and taverns? the datapack was originally about adding new structures but mansions are one of those that i feel need an rework.
