growing up, i don’t remember receiving much moral guidance on burial vs. cremation vs. other options, so these decisions feel kind of arbitrary to me otoh it seems like most people have powerful convictions about dead bodies (even people who aren’t religious)

but if not religion, where do these convictions come from? do you know what you want to happen to your body? how important is it to you, and why? what are the considerations at play here?
