today i got unreasonably and aggressively berated by my (now former) landlord i could literally feel my sympathetic nervous system pumping up my emotions instead of escalating with my own verbal abuse, i stayed calm + got a little excited to meditate and observe my stress later

for me, stress creates sensations of heat and pressure behind my forehead, and general tightness in my muscles (especially in my neck) after assessing my physical response, i tried to generate compassion and understanding from her perspective—was only partially successful here

some immediate outcomes of my meditation practice: - i’m substantially more sensitive to my body and its psychosomatic reflexes - at least for the time being, i feel far more aware of my own ego and it’s reactive and self-justifying habits
