If one can talk about an "authentic self", then there's also an 'authentic relational self'. The two are related, but not the same I think having an "authentic self" doesn't mean you have an "authentic relational self"

i think it aligns pretty well with your ‘favorite self’, or your aspirational identity though for some people that identity might not be particularly socially successful (in a conventional sense)?
