They're not even impenetrable to science! They're being studied and stuff is being figured out, the theory is there, some measurements are there, it's just that pop science won't budge from reductionist materialism! That's the most maddening part

There is indeed a lot of BS and predatory marketing surrounding these practices so your initial reaction is not unfounded - but there is also a vast amount to be gained by engaging with such practices seriously and sincerely, which is why they have persisted

oh yes, Focusing by Eugene Gendlin, overcoming emotional negligence, integrating your shadow, conflict resolution, becoming less anxious etc - all these are not being emphasized enough in our primarily materialist society imo
