China is winning and isn't gonna collapse anytime soon. I want my country to be ahead but I can't shake the intuition that the USA can't match what's happening. Does anyone have any information to the contrary that isn't based on economic collapse?

Peter Thiel’s take on China is that it’s playing catch-up with the rest of the world, but *total* modernization of China will take innovation that hasn’t happened yet, and they aren’t great at innovation; they are great at copying.

But it's seem still like it's eventual. Unless the China has some intrinsic weakness to innovation or the west has some magic nobody can replicate.
