Mac developer friends: What are your biggest pain points with the Mac App Store? What are showstoppers, what are annoyances?

@reneritchie Apple’s “cheap complements” approach works great for mobile/entertainment, but fails miserably for desktop/productivity.

@reneritchie And as mobile gets more productive, these same problems are starting to affect apps on the iOS App Store.

@reneritchie Worse, I don’t think Apple really understands the problems developers are facing just to stay in business.

@reneritchie The effects on the ecosystem are long-term: the fallout from an unhealthy indie scene won’t be felt until it’s too late.

@chockenberry @reneritchie given that, it’s hard to argue Apple has to care/change, or that it’s doing it wrong.

@chuq @reneritchie Right. Maybe our destiny isn’t as independents, but rather as employees or contractors. Reminds me of Windows before iOS.

@chockenberry @reneritchie maybe Apple sees MAS/OSX as "legacy" & iOS as the future. Hence more resources devoted to iOS.
