I haven’t seen it reported elsewhere, but as of last weekend all http://itunes.apple.com links redirect to http://music.apple.com — a likely indicator that the brand is done (the app will be fine for those of us who need it.)
Though weirdly, links to apps are still served up on the iTunes subdomain. I'm guessing that's going to change sometime soon: maybe after next Monday's keynote? Lots of branding possibilities with macOS and tvOS being added to the mix.

Do you think they're gonna move away from the "i" mark altogether? Apple Music not iMusic, Apple Watch not iWatch. I've been waiting for a new generation of phones to be branded "Apple Phone". Or is there still too much global brand awareness of "i" prefix devices?
They’d better do some re-educating. I love new things, but feeling uneasy about this rumor.
