It’s okay to talk about the frustration of clothes not fitting, or of finding it difficult to make decisions about food all the time, or about not being able to wear your PJs in the office. Just remember that your words about ‘a naughty piece of cake’ hold power

It’s so tempting to talk about bodies and food. I get it. But you’re adding to the stigma and systemic discrimination that fat people experience, AND reinforcing the idea that we should all simply aim to be small

Your fat colleagues are out here just trying to move through the world. Talking about the ‘bad’ snacks you’re eating, denigrating your own body changes or weight gain, saying you ‘feel so fat.’ You’re telling your fat colleagues that you think they - and their bodies - are bad

Many of us (regardless of size) have had a weird time w our bodies during the pandemic. Talking negatively about weight assigns a moral value to it. You’re telling everyone that fat = bad

Folks who know about Vic tenancy stuff. I was due a lease renewal last month and have had absolute crickets from the agent. Surprising, I know! Wondering about the implications of this - does this mean when they finally do give me a new lease, the rent can be increased?
