    Gotta Say it really delivered this time with new . Such a nice browser from UI/UX view and much faster and leaner than Chrome. Product Management at Msft has been better than Google now. Lots of amazing projects.

    I have finally realized that I can never have Linux as my main machine because of its instability. I hate Windows way too much but at least it gets the shit done. All browsers run better on Windows. My Jupyter kernel filled the whole RAM in Linux. WTF. Never saw that in Win10

    Instagram still doesn't have an iPad app. Twitter still doesn't let you edit tweets or search DMs. You can launch with less than you think. You may not even need it, ten years later!

    It was also modified to fit an industrial setting. Walking in lines and transitioning when a bell tells you to are to get you ready for a life of factory work.

    I’m confused. How did we conclude that the best way to prepare kids for the future is to cluster them into a setting where they are organized by age, into grades, and forced to learn the same things, at the same time and pace, 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 12 + years? Huh?

    The #1 cause of startup death is making something no one wants. The #2 cause is spending too much. Those two account for so many deaths that I'm not even sure what #3 is. If you merely make something people want and don't spend too much, you're way ahead.

    I tell people to stop worrying about futuristic runaway smart AI, because it's stupid current AI that will kill us, this is what I mean. Someone bought a product that *literally* text-matched the word "charity" as 'good' and "vodka" as 'bad' and is making hiring choices with it.

    I had to get a background check for my job, and it turns out the report is a 300+ page pdf of every single tweet I’ve ever liked with the work “fuck” in it. Enjoy your dystopian bs! *waves*

    I was reading about high speed rail on Wikipedia and this really shocked me. 10 billion people have ridden bullet trains without a single Fatality till now. That's really high quality engineering work since 1964.

    A few years ago TensorFlow looked indomitable. Now it's on the verge of being overtaken by Pytorch. OpenAI just announced it's standardizing on Pytorch, joining the likes of Tesla, Nvidia, and FB. Google hoped TensorFlow would cement its lead in ML. It may soon be a liability.
