With respect, I disagree. The states are bound together through the constitution by which all agreed to be bound. AG Paxton’s argument, as I understand it, is that Georgia’s failure to conduct their election in accordance with those standards, to the potential detriment...

Of the state and its voters is sufficient injury to be justiciable. As to standing, the state, by its legislature, is the body aggrieved, although it has chosen a procedure allowing the citizen voters to decide the matter. The legislature may act on its own however.

Grandstanding. Our own solicitor general refused to take this on; so Paxton is using our money for outside counsel. Our own governor modified elections due to the pandemic through executive order—why are we not suing ourselves?
