Amash is choosing the Flake path instead of the Massie/Paul/Lee path, as pointed out earlier. I may vote for him in 2020, but as S.E. notes, it fixes nothing.

At least two of those three similarly fail to advance conservative policy by voting “no” on everything and taking themselves out of negotiations.

What conservative policy has been / is being advanced? (Don’t say judges).
Long-standing debate about House members failing to deliver votes on spending bills during Obama, leading to suboptimal outcomes because of House Speaker dependency on Dem votes. Principal reason for no riders in Obama years.

The House Speaker’s reliance on Dem votes was the problem, as were the spending bills that set out to blow the hell out of spending caps. “Less bad” is not a motto to win minds & hearts of voters. (1/2)

To be fair, I overstated. They don’t vote no on everything. They were supportive of Tax Reform and S. 2155.
