Okay, 20 + 40 = 60, so that's the big numbers. Now I gotta do the small one's, so we got 7 + 8. 7+7 is 14. Add 1 for the 8. that's 15. Then I recount 7+8 on my fingers just to make sure it is in fact 15. Bring it all together, 60 +15 = 75.

Oooh you see I'd much rather add 7+8 to get an even 15. If I did 7+7 I'd take a second and go "14 right?" Vs 7+8 immediately is 15

i round the numbers up, then subtract the rounding difference (30+50)-(5)=75
