anti-commie International Confederation of Free Trade Unions. One reason for "leaderlessness" in current iteration is that the potential "leaders" are often NED pensioners. This presumably also goes for some of the "leaderless" participation of union members in the protests.

With the HKCTU rep'ing airport workers, it would seem to be a relatively hospitable venue for protesters. As to why this interesting context is absent from obsessive reporting on HK protests by our noble scribes, I got nuttin'!

Genuine Question. How communist is (red) HKFTU? 1) Is their objective a post-capitalist worker controlled democratic society free from the law of profit? 2) How democratic is the HKFTU? Can reps be easily recalled? Or is it more like China's Communist Party (ie in name only)?
