Not even saying I disagree with that statement, but to play devils advocate, if they were more Machiavellian then men, wouldn’t they be more sucessful in business whereas statistically they’re not. Physical ability plays a lesser role in that arena in my mind.

I'd say it's due to motherhood and lack of competition intrasexually – they can have a comfy life without putting in a lot of effort, unlike most men. The same effect is seen with the top 5% of men, just look up Jeremy Meeks.
