    Just realised I’m actually cooking lunch tomorrow. For the past 7 years it’s been eaten in a hotel in Dubai. This year though we get to spend it with our grandchild which is even better

    Bored and upset 2 yo waiting to visit Santa. How do these parents get their perfect Instagram photos? It’s certainly not taken in a muddy field queuing for an hour

    Went to visit Santa today with the neighbour and her 2 children and Bob. Stood in a muddy field for an hour to queue for prepaid tickets. Kids all upset, dog jumping up and covering me with mud and I don’t think Santa has ever worked with kids before.

    Judging by all the posts on Facebook I’m assuming too many people think they have to have the Christmas they see on Instagram or they’re failing in life? Everyone is posting ‘it’s ok not to….’

    Got 3 shifts at the booster clinic in Worcester after Christmas. Not sure how many people will be attending after 8pm on New Year’s Eve but I guess it’s booked

    I do miss Dubai at this time of you. But at least the temp doesn’t drop as the day goes in, unlike Dubai in summer where it climbs into the high 40s. It’s easier to keep warm than it is to cool down

    Catching up with their advent calendars. One year the cat got hold of hers and shredded it and was high on cat nip for days. This year gets impatient as it takes the skills of a surgeon to open each packet.

    It was impossible in lydney to buy meat, bread, pre packed etc with a sell by date after the 25th Dec. Was trying to limit my indoor time

    I’m not worrying about what/where/how the lockdown works. I’m just waiting for the announcement. If it’s 5 for Christmas dinner or only the two of us, the 25th of December still happens.
