Anti-feminism, and misogyny in general, is lower-hanging fruit for men eager to flex their social muscle. Women are more likely to be in proximity than LGBTQetal, POC, or Jews. I think there's also something to the notion that they want things from women and don't want to ask.
Transphobia is the gateway drug to bigotry right now. It's still socially acceptable to hate on trans people, so alt-right recruiters start with that and then move to wider homophobia and misogyny.
Historically fascist ideology is intrinsically anti-feminist. It is connected with the idea of womanhood as a regulated boundary-marker for the Nation. Fascism and feminism are mutually exclusive.
