While I believe we're both on the mayor's side here, the Supreme Court ruled back in the 80s that while gun control laws *are* constitutional, the right to own a gun under 2A is for personal protection and NOT protection from the State (US government).

Listen I’m a hardcore democrat but there’s an issue has not been addressed since Daley’s time. There is violence in the city, just a visit to the West and South side of the city should suffice to see that there are issues. Maybe this will help?
