In 2014 we learned about water. In 2016 we learned about grinding. In 2020 we finally brewed some espresso. We present our blueprint to acess the flavors you desire, every single shot... And will save *a lot* of money.

Tomorrow has split the household, but raised an important question! Do you support the team that knocked you (Team A) out of the playoffs (vindication), or do you support the other team, Team B (spite)? (I'm going to the AFC champs, as a Texans fan - VINDICATION!!!)

For years I've struggled with steaming milk. I've had using my arms like a puppet. literally hold my hands. These are GOOD SCA trainers. I'm useless. Total. Disaster. Today I did it. All by myself. No photo proof, though so it didn't happen I guess

The folks at did a wonderful podcast on the coffee work published in . Adam Rogers did a masterful job of describing our papers' findings. The coffee part starts at 13:33, but the entire episode is super interesting.

I'll 💯 claim I was part of that team, if the media need it put simply.

Blimey I should have linked in to this tweet, too! Somewhere between the terrible bush fires in Australia, viruses in China, and political controversy in DC, our little story about coffee is a nice break.

The careful reader will note that both the math and experiments clearly indicate that the most reproducible espresso is one that is made with 0 g of coffee and 0 g of water. 👯‍♀️

A few great things about this coffee paper. 1) Authors 1 and 2's affiliation "Frisky Goat Espresso" 2) I got to use "tasty point" and "optimized tasty point" in text. 3) There are 8 pages of scary math, but stick with it!

Modellers have a hard job of creating a system that contains all the important chemistry. Departures from experiment simply mean the experiment has additional important feature. The fact you think we want to play a game to try and figure out your science is utter nonsense.
