We are finally seeing real urgency and change in the TL. Over 500 people brought overwhelmingly into hotels over last 3 weeks. This is what we wanted and envisioned when we all worked so hard to pass our hotel legislation, for the TL and entire city.https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/SF-cleans-up-Tenderloin-dramatic-65-15383753.php …

This is a feature of the drug war, not a bug. That which you ask for is the reason you have the problem you have. Policing it only makes it worse, and we have all the data and more to know this. Sorry, that data is more relevant than your anecdotes and calls for cops.

Chesa would love to see a dope dealer in every block of SF.

Stats mean a lot to me. My policies have to be data driven. Also, I've been in office less than 6 months. If the drug epidemic or the problems in the Tenderloin are so easy to solve by a single department or elected official, don't you think they would have been solved long ago?

So you just give up?

Strangely, when boudin has a do-not-pursue policy on anything except political enemies, crime stats look pretty good as police don't bother taking reports and attorneys don't bother filing charges. If we stopped arresting for everything, crime would go way down I guess.

Chesa and his establishment progressives likely don’t venture into such neighborhoods.
