Bernie: "The Iowa caucus is just much much too complicated. … What will not happen again, if I have anything to say about it, is a caucus this complicated.”

  5. Also, Joseph really does not care about the results out of Iowa. He says it’s discouraging that the IDP had so much time to prepare and didn’t execute, but when I asked him if he thinks yesterday’s results will change peoples’ minds, he said “we’ve moved on. Who cares now.”

  6. Joseph told me he’s deciding between Deval Patrick and Elizabeth Warren. He also likes Bill Weld (he’s an independent). He’s going to decide the day of the election.

  7. “I’m struggling with the vote for who can win vs. who you like the most, because you have to be practical based on who can win in November,” says Joseph, a 61-year old New Hampshire voter at Warren’s Nashua event. He speaks to a really common struggle for voters here

  8. Asked if it's fair to tell voters she landed in the top 3 though the IDP hasn't released any results yet, Warren told reporters, "We can describe generally what has happened, based on information that everybody has got and put together, but no we don't have numbers yet"

Overheard at Warren’s town hall after she finished speaking, a voter on the phone: “I just feel so responsible,” she said, “I feel so responsible for my vote.” A sentiment I’ve heard from a lot of voters in early states the past few weeks, especially

  12. A very tiny voice takes the mic at Warren’s Keene, NH, town hall this morning and introduces herself as Elizabeth. “Double Elizabeths! I feel the power,” Warren says. “I’m 7 years old,” little Elizabeth says. “I’m not,” says.

  13. Reminder: We do not actually know the results, nor has the Iowa Democratic Party reported the results. The party says the delay is about reporting issues, not necessarily the results.

  14. “The question is, so what are we going to do? You know, we can be discouraged. But you're here. And the way I see it, is I look at where we are. We've done Iowa, we've got New Hampshire in just a week,” Warren says, giving an “onward and upward” message

  15. “I'm feeling good. But I know that this is the time when a lot of people around our country are starting to feel really worried and really discouraged. I mean, we had a bumpy start to the democratic process yesterday in Iowa,” Warren says.

  16. The three at the top, per campaign manager Roger Lau last night, are Warren, Buttigieg and Sanders. They’re bunched at the top with Biden in distant fourth, Lau said. This is based on the campaign’s internal data.

  17. Last night Warren said the results were too close to call. This morning in New Hampshire, she gives specifics: “So we’re back from Iowa. Wow. But here’s what we know. It’s a tight three-way race at the top ... I’m feeling good.”

  18. Warren has arrived in New Hampshire. Still no results, she says, but her campaign’s Iowa organizers are moving on to other states where they have teams on the ground

  19. According to a Warren campaign aide, the Iowa Democratic Party just did another call with campaigns and told them they are releasing results today (the campaign assumes that means Tuesday).

  20. After addressing the crowd on results she said were “too close to call,” Warren stayed in the room for a selfie line. Perhaps one of her last selfie lines in Iowa. Her 9 y/o grandson Atticus (in the middle) also got in the mix.

  21. “What everybody saw plain as day in front of their TV screen, and what we're still seeing right now in the lack of results, in the errors that have happened, is that this simply is not the way that we should do this.”
