The best age-old defense @chetan_bhagat could come up with: “she asked for it”

I don’t understand. Isn’t lack of consent the whole basis of harassment? Why is the indication of it needs to be trivialized and not considered material?
-
Words of affection over email is not consent
-
1/2) The very fact that she replied with such affection after 3 years of the incident means they had buried the hatchet or she was not carrying any trauma to say the least. Either way there was no animosity between them until this new episode of
#metoo
allegations started. -
Listen, She was in a situation where I still needed some professional help. So save it. She’s only trying to look normal. It’s still traumatic inside and no there is no “asking for a kiss first” notion as Chetan has written. Read her article first. You don’t understand women.
-
See I don't want to patronise anyone. I am talking on face value. If you've any material proof then talk. I sympathize with
#metoo
but your saying "you don't know, you don't understand, so save it" wouldn't take the issue anywhere. If my tweet has hurt you in any way I apologize. -
Wait, I think you should answer your own question. Do you have material proof that she wasn’t traumatised that you’re talking with so much confidence ?

Also why would she invite him to launch her book in 2015 if he harassed her in 2010. Sorry but doesn't add up!
-
She invited him in 2015 , he didn't come . So that means he harrased her in 2010 . If he had come , then he would not have harassed her . Simple .
She is a gold digger man , widen up .Chetan is the victim here . -
Who was the victim in your mind? If she was the victim, she couldn't have invited him. I think he was the victim that's why he did not accept and attend..
-
Victim is CB

What the hell.! So every girl who sent me XOXO wanted me to forcibly kiss her?
-
2010:
@chetan_bhagat creeps out@iratrivedi .By trying to kiss her . 2013:@iratrivedi ends a mail with kisses to@chetan_bhagat. Why didn't Ira maintain only a strictly professional relationship? Why was she almost flirtatious in her email? Doesn't she have to explain that? -
It looks as if she played along and also encouraged by ambiguous signalling. I don't expect that she should have complained to the police or anyone about it or slapped him or whatever. I am just asking why did she have to use terms of endearment? Is there a meaningful explanation

Not sure wtf this proves, given that consent is continuous. Just because I send someone a kiss emoji or an xoxo over email to my boyfriend, doesn't mean he has my permission to do anything. O.o
-
You don't send "XOXO or Kiss u" to someone you have professional or formal relationship with.
-
Harassment in 2010 kisses and misses in 2013??? For what, ?
