I am shocked to see Sacramento Democrats going to the mat on progressive economics. Contrast that to San Francisco where the machine came to Uber and Lyft and asked how it could help them extrude their piece work sweatshop floor onto our streets.

Not sure it was that linear necessarily. Cabs were expensive, quality and service very poor and ignored much of the city for years. Not to mention getting around quickly on Muni, the butt of jokes for generations & the city still has the medallion money, the drivers: didly squat.

How is it “misclassification” if
@Uber drivers WANT to be paid 1099 contractors as part of our independent contractor business. Clearly beholden to Taxi companies and corrupt labor unions. -
