This tells us that what we have been doing for tha past decades has been effective in reducing crime. Sounds like we should continue on that path

This literally means that we are mistaken in our belief that there is an epidemic of violence. We do not have to rethink the system from the ground up. In fact it would be foolish to abolish a system has made life for everybody in this country more secure
