Curious how much the decrease might have to do with victims not reporting assaults and violent crimes because of fear of retaliation. Know five people who haven’t reported because of fear of retaliation. Sure the numbers are much larger than that.

If you want to compare trends from previous years then those years need to be comparable. Shelter in place, limited reopening, almost no tourism, etc makes this an “apples to oranges” comparison.
