The San Francisco district attorney’s office said it is withdrawing charges and pursuing a “restorative justice” model against a 20-year-old man arrested in the robbery of an elderly Asian man in his 70s that was captured on a video that went viral.http://nbcbay.com/ht9JDDl
Believe it or not, many victims don't find the traditional criminal justice system helps address their needs. Some even believe the people who've harmed then deserve mercy. Also the case we withdrew the charges in today only involved the man who recorded the video.

Being there and recording it instead of intervening shows a dramatic character flaw. I hope your intervention makes that clear.

The kid who recorded the video also said he hates Asians and he was on Instagram live with his friend saying who was saying “f*ck Asians campaign” over and over. Now I get to walk around San Francisco feeling like I have a target on my back. Thanks.

Is the victim an expert in criminal reform? If not, why are you letting him determine the best course of action?
