This whole experience has created lots of internal conflict for me on this issue. I'm glad we ended cash bail and fully support that. Ability to pay should not be a factor. I'm just worried about diversion being applied incorrectly *in certain circumstances.*

I'd be interested in hearing more about your specific plans to better support victims and their safety. (While also reducing incarceration, which to reiterate - I'm in favor of!) I've had some bad experiences with the office and police throughout this, mixed with positive ones.
