    why are we spending $700 billion a year and not able to secure our borders? Isn't that the entire purpose of a military? Waste of taxpayer money it seems, doesn't it?

    Americans are paying $667 billion to the pentagon this year. What is this colossal expenditure getting them? Is it protecting them from foreign invasion? Does a military have any other fundamental purpose? Protect the border or give us our money back.

    If there's nothing our own government can do to stop this, really don't see why we have to pay for a military or another "national security" bureaucracy. Stop pretending our country still exists and save us the tax payments.

    Laugh of the day... Genuine principles like "war, especially war for Israel, is good"? "Diversity is our greatest strength"?

    Many groups on the right have revealed their true moral emptiness under Trump: tax-cutters, evangelicals, conservative law types, etc.. But on the whole the neocons -- the people responsible for the Iraq war -- have turned out to have genuine principles. Credit where it's due.
