This is the only country in a civilized world that doesn’t vote on the weekends. We need the Election Reform Act (ERA) #VoteBlue

Incorrect. Canada never ever votes on a weekend. Municipal, Provincial, and Federal elections are all held during weekdays.
-
Correct. I just checked the list of voting days by countries and most elections are held on Sundays or they’ve got an election holiday (time off). The US is the only one without neither and with numerous restrictions and voter suppression “laws”.
-
You stated that the US is the "Only" country that doesn't vote on weekends. That is incorrect. Canadians never vote on weekends. So the US is not the "Only" country.
-
I should’ve said the Election Holliday. The bottom line the election system in the US is rigged for Republicans with many barriers, suppression, restrictions for Democrats. We need the Election Reform Act today.
-
How so?
-
Google is your friend, literally millions of cases of voter suppression by GOP across the nation. Multiple major news outlets reported on this extensively for many years.
-
Many of which being disproved or lacking in real evidence to support the claim

Problem with that is in America EVERY day is a working day for someone.
-
That isn't an American problem. All modern nations are open for business 7 days a week.. Public services are up 24/7...

Most states require that companies allow time off to vote if you work withing the poll hours.
-
But is it enforced?
-
It doesn't have to be enforced. It has to be followed.
-
Not all States and too many barriers like “advanced notice” etc. The bottom line, the system is rigged for Republicans and we need the Election Reform Act (ERA) today.https://www.workplacefairness.org/voting-rights-time-off-work …

Republicans, Republicans...yep, but we work so you don’t have to.

Republicans are the welfare queens, not Democrats.https://www.businessinsider.com/red-states-are-welfare-queens-2011-8 …

Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Since we care so much about voting... lets also uphold the sanctity of it. Lets get a day off for election day.... And lets ensure voters are who they say they are, by getting a valid ID.
-
Agree 100%. However I’m sure the liberals would cry that it’s racism or some other “ism” to require someone to actually prove who they are to vote. Common sense is a novel concet lost on most liberals.
