Friend of mine traveled from NV to UT for a wedding. Wore a mask. Got teased incessantly, and without telling her beforehand they coordinated a group photo making fun of face masks. They are ignorant and proud of it. They think over 150,000 deaths in the country are a joke.

Honestly though, there are times that all this selfishness just makes me want to leave medicine, because these are the same people who are occupying or causing people to occupy hospital beds, and like... "you're putting me and mine in harms way for a beer, Karen."

Once in a while it kinda hits me that I feel like I’m being gaslighted. All these people running around acting like everything is normal, and me isolated in my apartment thinking ‘is everything fine now? Am I just overreacting?’ I know I’m NOT, but my brain still wonders.

It feels similar to my experience w/ anxiety. I am freaking out at that seems valid & right and everyone else around me is like calm down, it’s not a big deal, you’re exaggerating things and catastrophizing. I literally can’t tell anymore bc twitter feels so divorced from reality

My Insta is full of ppl with multiple young kids doing whatever, with their little friends 24/7, not a single mask. Meanwhile my daughter and I have been in this apartment since fcking March.

We straight up pulled my toddler from daycare and I was THAT CLOSE to sending him back (thinking maybe it wasn’t so bad if they followed precautions) when they had an outbreak. Day 143 here. And I am bummed that others aren’t masking/distancing.
