Why does it take you so long to figure out what’s going on this image? Your visual system is constantly on the lookout for *faces* and gets stuck on spurious configurations.

What looks like the right eye (in the initial orientation) is the dog's nose, and what looks like the dog's left cheek is the chin. The appparent right ear at left is actually a left ear pointing upward from the dog's head.

Saw the 90 degree dog immediately but spent five minutes trying to find a different dog, thinking the one I saw was the “obvious” one. haha.

The bigger issue is the colormatch from the pillow to the left - it matches the fur color and looks like part of the body. If you remove that color match the ambiguity instantly clears up.pic.twitter.com/d13mGTCM7U
