This makes no sense. A win at SCOTUS is the product of a movement we won because people our Black and Brown trancesters flight criminalization and incarceration to spark and build movements that led us to this moment. The plaintiffs, the lawyers, are part of a long story.

I tremendously appreciate your work on the SCOTUS case, but I don’t think it serves anyone to frame this as Black and brown trans people died to further this cause. They should not have to be martyrs, or remembered purely for the sacrifices they made so we could live.

It also kind of undercuts the much more radical vision (like waaaay beyond SCOTUS) many of them had while they were actually alive, in my opinion.
