For example, I can have a non-binary identity, desire male-typical features and be comfortable with female-typical ones. Likewise, a desire to consolidate and embody a male typical set of characteristics need not reify a binary and definitional notion of a male body.

Well if I wasn’t a bio male, I wouldn’t have went through male puberty.

But biological females don't transition to a female gender identity or vice versa. The transition is not away from some typical notion of gender, but from what is implied by biology.
