    1. On 13 Jul, published the first attack report from in 3.5 months. In the days that followed, it provided new details on 7 separate attacks (3 in Jun, 4 in Jul). Five ops were close to the city of , which it attacked and temporarily held in Mar ‘21.

    1. Over the last 6 months, ’s activities in the have been intensifying. While there was a similar surge in Sep-Dec last year, it was much less sustained. May 2021 was a high point for , with 6 times as many attacks reported that month as there were in January 2021.
