The pressing question to city leaders is; why is this type of civil unrest allowed? It is evident it is not a peaceful demonstration. It is evident the protestors are hindering free passage. It is evident the protestors are assaulting the public. Again why?

You're forgetting that @RepMaxineWaters called for this kind of treatment against Americans who have different political views. In my opinion, we need to remove Ms. Waters from her government position for inciting violence!!!

They have sure been trying, but the right does not want the war. We keep passing policies that help American families, keep working to unite our country, and the rabid minority of leftists that are doing these things is more+more vocal, but a smaller and smaller group. #WalkAway

I agree. I'm on the left and I think that the treatment the two of you received was perfectly outrageous. My only 'ask' is that you not lump everyone together. There are many others on the left who abhor this kind of behavior from either side of the political divide.

I'm sorry that you and Candace were the targets this time. But Americans see this behavior, and are further convinced that the left is full of hatred and will resort to violence when they can. It's an important lesson, but a dangerous one for those of you on the front lines.
