...and you could have others who don't drop you entirely but who delay projects or cancel some of them entirely...and it could be spread out over weeks or months. You could also face outstanding invoices which clients can't/won't pay due to their own COVID19 woes, etc etc.

Plus, for normal unemployment, they base it on your quarterly income during the previous year...but if you're self-employed, that could be all over the map. You could have $30K income one quarter and $0 the next if it's a seasonal business, etc.

I believe for regular unemployment, it's whenever you last worked for pay, regardless of employer(s).
