(and no, the #ACA being struck down without a reasonable replacement plan already in place will NOT magically lead ot a #M4All paradise. It *will* lead to massive panic, confusion, heartache, suffering, bankruptcy and death for many people.)

In terms of what YOU can do to prevent this, unfortunately there's not THAT much since it's up to the judges. You CAN, however, push your state legislators & governors to lock in as many
#ACA protections at the state level as possible...https://www.healthinsurance.org/blog/2019/06/07/whats-your-state-doing-to-save-the-aca/ …Show this thread -
...and of course you can
#VoteBlueNoMatterWho, starting with helping#FlipVABlue next month...https://secure.actblue.com/donate/bluewaveva2019 …Show this thread -
...and also help turn Kentucky, Louisiana & Mississippi a little bluer while you're at it:https://secure.actblue.com/donate/bluewavekylams2019 …

Knowing the 5th Circuit, I’d say it’s likely and that the Republicans masquerading as judges on that court think doing so would be a political winner for Dear Leader and the Republican cult.

Seems to me a policy of ensuring everyone gets health care, while letting them decide how, is kind of the best of all worlds.

This is so scary. Do you have any hope they won't strike the entire law down or the higher courts will step in to resolve these issues?

It'll almost certainly be appealed up to SCOTUS no matter how they rule (although they might kick it back down to the original judge, which would drag things out even longer). SCOTUS presumably would take it up sometime next spring...and issue the FINAL decision next summer/fall.

Out of curiosity, how much do you think a Public Option plan would cost someone compared to the current insurance from for-profit companies?
-
Hard to say without knowing how it's structured or how tough the price controls are. I know that Washington State and Colorado are moving forward with their own state-based POs (sort of), which are expected to save perhaps 5-10% and 9-18% respectively:http://acasignups.net/19/10/08/colorado-state-level-public-option-report-released …
