Michael Sanders had a chance to build BioSand Filters in Guatemala — a solution our local partners use! It’s one of the reasons why he was inspired to run for clean water. “I love that clean water has an exponential impact for good on a community,” he shared.

When Leanne Gaedtke isn’t running for clean water, she’s baking up delicious homemade treats with her daughter. Together, they launched a “coffee gram” fundraiser, delivering coffee and their confections, and raised $1,500 in the process!

Calling all interns! John Manion was part of our 2016 intern team and is now a member of the marathon team. “I'm running because of the water crisis' immediate health risks, as well as its secondary effects, particularly for women and children,” he shared.

They walked from Waterloo to Trafalgar Square, a journey to represent the time women and children spend walking for water each day — a daily total of 200 million hours. Huge thanks to everyone who helped us raise awareness to make this night such a success!
