maybe, i'm not sure high-manipulation sociopaths (not all sociopaths are even good at social interaction) are usually so much high-empathy as having strong modeling capability built on other principles

didn't Amazon have cgi-bin paths until like five minutes ago? no, i just vaguely remembered there being investigation on the topic and googled it, i dunno if it will reward more than a skim

I have no idea when they got right with god on that particular issue. I did hear from some insiders a few years ago that the e-comm site itself was still running an ungodly amount of late 90s vintage Perl and nobody understood it well enough to fix it.
