I kind of relate to "no drama" as word set, but I am not a man and not from west. I do like that weirdo cat lady complaining about gaslighting in the thread dislikes "no drama" people. I should look more into them.

I've always read "no drama" in a dating profile as meaning something close to "I am intensely melodramatic and my last relationship ended on terrible terms due to the melodrama of myself and my ex combined"

so it is kind of like people pointing out they are not crazy and have paperwork that proves it?

I mean, I never actually contacted any of those people so maybe I'm wrong, that's just my reading. but yeah, it's just way too much lampshading. if you're not a melodramatic person it would never even occur to you say ask for "no drama" because you wouldn't have that problem.

i scan it more as "when i treat you like shit in an utterly thoughtless fashion i will act like there's something wrong with you for even noticing it, much less getting upset, because it's not like i was *trying* to make you unhappy, i literally wasn't thinking of you at all"
