yeah, that works too, but it's edging closer to the failure case as the only people who know anything about it will tell you, in social engineering you want fences around your fences

Eh, lots of native tribes view animals as anything but things - you treat the rabbit you've just ate as a noble soul offering itself etc etc. Cannibalism is bad because it's an easier choice, you'd just always eat the excess and put equilibrium population growth at 0%
