Our concept of the individual is an extremely modern idea. The Bible talks about kingdoms and assemblies and families and villages, not rational self-interested actors.

ha, the time when i was regularly exposed to Christian imagery and the time i read Ezekiel in Hebrew were so far apart that i only found out from you posting that second image that somebody decided the Four Evangelists were the Merkabah
