Is there such a thing as an EQ genius?

tilt your head around and look at it differently. When you normally think of self-regulating emotions you imagine a cool, collected, Obama-esque person. What if there is another kind of control which is essentially the ability to switch into id mode at will.

it's a profound talent. I certainly can't do that. I'm so controlled and conditioned that I have to like, do some drugs, to get where Trump can get on command at any given moment.

I'd challenge that it's "at will" though... more like he can't help himself. He can't switch to ego/superego mode when those are optimal.

possibly but I'm not convinced. he does have a superego but it is constituted so differently from mine that I can't model it. What I've seen from him though is a type of demagogue crowd captivating talent that looks like superego mastery of some kind.

I don't think so. It's a regular superego, just conditioned by long immersion in a very different training set than you or me (someone labeled it the rat-pack era consciousness... glitz/glamor/casino crap). You forget he's 70. You can see more raw versions in old videos.

yeah, he has the precise superego of somebody who has never valued anything but being a winner as that concept is constructed by a white American male with an IQ of 103 in the year 1947
