If you look closely at the bread sticks, you will see that not only is there no kosher salt on them, but they are also completely out of place in a meal that is not at all Italian.

San Francisco's Chinatown arose as a literal ghetto. Chinese immigrants were legally prohibited from engaging in property transactions, banking, etc.
