expound upon your New York hate, what do you find loathsome about it
-
That people who go on about how it got better are always just prettying up getnrification, how they're supposed to be the only cultural center that matters if you'd listen to them, and just this... I hate any place that pretends and succeeds at declaring itself all important.
-
yeah that's a good one, the strain of sickness that leads to New York's absolutely insatiable appetite for songs sucking its dick i feel like healthy people would be *embarrassed* by music about how great they are which says a lot about your common or garden variety deity

There's a big difference between liking where you live, and deifiying where you live. At least I imagine there is. I like Portland, but damned if I'd say it's perfect/doesnt need to be improved.

I was not aware that New York was, in fact, paradise. Why the fuck am I living in Seattle, then? I mean, besides the job and family and outrageous natural beauty and stuff. And so very few New Yorkers going on about their city.
-
You took the words right out of my mouth. Trees, mountains, lakes, rivers, wildlife... Concentration of technology jobs, general lack of people wondering why anyone would like anyplace other than itself because plenty of them have been elsewhere and DO enjoy other cities...

I've never even been to NYC. I'm sure it's great, but it seems strange to genuinely not understand the appeal of cities with other cultures, backdrop, job opportunities, etc. Like really? C'mon son, you can't herd cattle in NYC.
