people are mad about it but i'd say Louis CK's lack of apology in his statement is a good example to be emulated. everybody wants to jump right to apologies so they can get on with being forgiven, but one reason apologies suck so often is that taking responsibility is *hard*

he has a lot of leveling up to do before anything like that should even come out of his mouth, and it's probably tactical in some way that it didn't yet, but by whatever accident it turned out better than could be expected. more people should hold off
