just discovered that in the LDMud "old stable" branch, bitwise operators are broken to the tune: for any x, y such that x <= 0xffffffff and y > 0xffffffff, x | y == x

oh it allows 64-bit integer values but declares its working variables for a bunch of operators int which winds up being 32-bit lawl
