This says quotes, but it looks like it has to do with JavaScript only having 53 bits of integer precision?
Oh, I get it. They left off the quotes, which caused it to be interpreted as a hexadecimal constant, exposing them to JS precision problems.
the idea of precision and rounding problems in integer math confuses and terrifies me.
That’s the thing — js doesn’t actually have true integers, it has floats that can provide integer precision up to a certain point
wow, to think i made it this far, and even *used npm*, without jumping on the "js is bad actually" train up til now
