I'm mostly against block shaming. Ppl should pretty much block for whatever reason.

-
Yes; it can seem a bit hypocritical in certain cases. But again I tend to try to be forgiving...
-
i mean, i ain't mad or nothin', but it does lend credence to critiques about purity being more important than communication
-
Sometimes people block a person because they say/link to/retweet things the blocker finds upsetting.
-
Some people block me for reasons unknown. But I don't consider myself entitled to not be blocked.
-
If my twitter feed bothers people, I feel they have the right not to have to see it.
-
oh you bet. not to quibble though but doesn't, y'know, not following mostly accomplish that? block's much heavier
-
Not following doesn't always mean someone else won't tweet their stuff into your feed.
-
sure, but as noted, blocking doesn't prevent that either

there are a lot of ppl on here who really just want to talk to their friends though, which is totally reasonable.
-
oh sure, if you're not trying to be a big deal vendor in the marketplace of ideas why the hell not block 'em all

like, i'm not allowed to read Ashe Dryden or Sady Doyle, so not a hell of a big chance of my thinking trending in their direction
-
I don't know Dryden...I know Doyle gets just tons and tons of crap, though, which can make you pretty quick with the block.
-
*nodnod* oh sure. same with Dryden. i expressed mild disagreement with her, which as we all know is concern trolling.
-
Doyle i literally never interacted with
#onhere so i haven't the faintest idea how she figured out i am a horrible shitlord. -
It could be a blocklist? Sometimes that happens...
-
could be, wabbit. the tankies def passed around my name to be blocked, but i don't think our Sady hangs with them. OR DOES SHE
